COMPETITION

After the success of the first edition, Ignazio Senatore, psychiatrist and film critic, will conduct the second annual Festival of Short Films “MediCinema, Health, wellness and disease (illness)” aimed at Italian and foreign filmmakers

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

The event will take place on 27 March 2017 in Naples, involves the screening of short films that will be selected by a jury composed of qualified directors, actors, directors, film critics, journalists and operators of the sector.

THE COMPETITION

– Each work, directed after 2013, must last a maximum of 30 minutes, including titles and credits.

– The Italian authorities must submit short films in Italian or with Italian subtitles.

– The short films of foreign authors, which do not have to be in Italian language,

must have Italian subtitles

Participants must submit to the secretariat of the competition, as an annex to the works submitted, the application form attached to this announcement that can be downloaded from the site below: www.cinemaepsicoanalisi.com

METHOD of REGISTRATION

Membership is free and the deadline is the 1ost of March 2017.

Each contestant may participate with a maximum of 3 short films.

Short films previously submitted or awarded in other competitions are admitted.

Of each short film must be clearly stated: the short title and name of the director, life, nationality, and year of completion. We recommend that you also include the principal actors, the transcription of titles and credits and all additional information on the realization of the short film. The works will not be returned.

Or the package must be sent within 24 hours untill the 1.st of March 2017 (the postmark will attest) and must arrive at the following address:

– Transportation costs are to be paid by the participants. The packages will be refused if taxed.

– The sender of the work claims to be entitled to all rights of use of the work itself without exception and that the contents thereof do not violate any laws and that the work does not contain any defamation. In any event, the sender raises the organizers of any responsibility for the content of the short film screened in public.

SELECTIONS AND AWARDS

– The Jury, in its sole discretion, awards the following prizes:

Best Short Film
Best Director
Best Actor
Best Actress
Best Documentary
Best Foreign Short
Audience Award for Best Short Film

Winners will be published on www.cinemaepsicoanalisi.com

– The short films will be screened during the competition, without monetary compensation to authors, for educational and cultural aims

GENERAL RULES

– The organization of the contest, while committing strictly in the care and custody of the works, does not assume any responsibility for any postal delays, theft, damage or loss that may occur before, during or after the event.

– For reasons of force majeure, technical and organizational problems or in order to make improvements or in case of exceptions not predictable, the organization may amend these rules, giving information on the site www.cinemaepsicoanalisi.com

– The sending of the completed application form implies full and unconditional acceptance of this Regulation.

Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of these rules.

– On the web site www.cinemaepsicoanalisi.com will be communicated all the information concerning the receipt of the work, at any stage of selection, the date of award, as well as the calendars of the projections, the program of the events.
